help immigrant families

CAFÉ, (Community Aid For Empowerment) is a grassroots organization committed to supporting immigrant families and individuals by providing mutual aid, commissary support for those detained, reuniting families, legal assistance, and rapid response resources. More info: CAFE

WBLDems will be collecting donations at our August meeting for CAFE to help immigrant families. Requested items include cleaning/laundry supplies, toilet paper/paper towels, diapers, feminine hygiene products, and financial contributions.

MDP Nominating Convention and CD11 Caucus - Saturday, August 29, at the Lansing Center. The deadline for voting eligibility was July 30

CD11 District Committee and General Membership Meeting - Wednesday, September 23, 7pm, at the Balkan American Community Center in Troy.

The Voter Protection Team works to ensure that every eligible Michigander can vote and that every legally cast ballot is counted.

General Election Endorsements Vote


The WBLDems membership will vote on the recommendations of the Endorsement Committee for our full general election endorsement slate. To be eligible to vote, you must be both a WBLDems and Michigan Democratic Party member for 30 days before the vote, or by August 4. The 30 day requirement is waived for elected officials and PDs, although they must still be members to vote. To check your Club or MDP membership status, contact erichsusan@yahoo.com
